GHK-Cu Explained ↓

Attaining firmer, smoother, more youthful-looking skin shouldn’t have to be painful, physically or financially.

Your skin is instructed by a copper peptide called GHK-Cu: First discovered in 1973 & well-documented over the past 50+ years, it is naturally produced by your body and has the important job to signal skin to produce collagen & repair itself.

Scientists discovered that our bodies make less of it over time, up to 60% decline between age 20 → 60. As GHK-CU signaling fades, your skin becomes thinner, looser, and is slower to heal from UV damage.

Here's the key: GHK-Cu is small enough to absorb from a cream. So unlike the injectable peptides people are chasing, you don't need a needle to put it back.

Our carefully formulated 1% GHK-Cu, 3rd-Party Tested, Daily Facial Cream replenishes what time depletes, simply giving your skin the tool to repair itself like it used to, resulting in not only more youthful appearing skin on the surface, but healthier skin at its core.

No complicated routine, no harsh chemicals & no painful daily injections. Simply swap for your daily moisturizer and see the difference yourself.

Watch Out For Cheap Replicas.
We do not offer our product on Amazon or other marketplaces, we have been notified of several fake copycat listings posing as Copper Theory. Furthermore, please also be aware that many GHK-Cu creams/serums on the market are falsely labeling their active ingredient percentages by using deceptive math to calculate %.

How GHK-Cu Works

- The science in a nutshell -

Your skin's signal drops.

Firm skin is held up by a support structure of collagen and elastin that your body is always rebuilding. The peptide that tells it to rebuild is GHK-Cu, a copper peptide your skin makes on its own. Those levels drop more than 60% from your 20s to your 60s. As the signal fades, rebuilding slows, the structure breaks down faster than it's replaced, and skin starts to soften and lose its shape. Moisturizers only hydrate the surface. They can't send this signal.

GHK-Cu replenishes it.

Copper Theory puts the signal back, delivering GHK-Cu at 1%, daily, right where your skin lost it. Here's why a cream can do this when injectable peptides need a needle: GHK-Cu is a tiny tripeptide, small enough to pass through the skin barrier on its own. Once it reaches the deeper layer, it does what your own signal used to do. It wakes your skin's repair cells back up and puts them to work.

Skin holds its shape.

Back on the job, those cells maintain the collagen and elastin scaffold that keeps skin firm and resilient. It's remodeling, not freezing, not filling, so it builds over weeks, not overnight. A fresher, plumper glow in the first week or two, then visibly firmer, smoother, more lifted skin from around weeks 4 to 12. The version of you, restored. Not frozen.

Inside The Jar

The cream, the molecule, and what to expect from both.

Whipped, not blended.

Copper Theory is whipped rather than emulsified flat, which is why it sits light and disappears into skin instead of resting on top. The color is not a dye. GHK-Cu is blue because of the copper. The bound copper carries that pale periwinkle tone on its own, so the shade in the jar is the active itself.

GHK-Cu, in plain terms.

Three amino acids bound to a single copper atom. Your body already makes it. It was isolated from human plasma in 1973 and has been studied for more than fifty years since. Levels fall as you age. It is also small enough to pass into skin from a cream, which most firming ingredients are not.

Morning and night.

Warm a pea sized amount between your fingertips. Press it into the face, jawline and neck. Never skip the neck, it ages faster than the face. Follow with SPF in the morning.

What To Expect. And When.

- The 12 week timeline -

Weeks 1–2

First glow.

Skin looks fresher, plumper and calmer. The dewy, more awake change most people notice first.

Weeks 2–4

Smoother & rested.

Texture looks more even. Skin feels comfortable, and the tired look softens.

Weeks 4–12

Firmer & lifted.

A more defined looking jawline, a smoother neck, and skin that holds its shape.

Week 12+

Maintained & compounding.

Firmness holds as long as the signal keeps being replenished. Stay consistent and the change you have built keeps going rather than fading back.

The Research

Two peer reviewed papers that set the standard we formulate to.

Your Body Makes It. Then It Stops.

GHK is a small tripeptide that occurs naturally in human plasma. It was identified in 1973 and has been studied continuously since.

The paper states the decline plainly. At age 20 the plasma level is about 200 ng/mL. By age 60 it has fallen to 80 ng/mL. That is a drop of sixty percent.

It also documents what the peptide does at the level of gene expression. GHK alters the expression of 31.2% of human genes by fifty percent or more, raising activity in 59% of them and lowering it in 41%. Among the effects recorded are the synthesis of collagen and glycosaminoglycans, and an increase in TIMP1, one of the proteins that limits breakdown of the skin's supporting matrix.

This is the paper behind the whole premise. Firmness does not fade because your skin stopped working. It fades alongside a signal that runs low.

Most Of It Never Gets In.

This is the study most brands would rather you did not read.

Reviewing the measurement work on GHK-Cu, the authors report copper retention across the skin layers in the range of 0.6 to 2.8% of the applied dose. Almost everything you put on your face stays on your face.

That is true of every copper peptide on the market, at every concentration. It is the reason the number on the front of a jar tells you very little on its own.

The paper also reports what changes it. Ionic liquid carriers improved penetration compared with free GHK-Cu, and an ionic liquid microemulsion delivered significantly better penetration than the other systems tested. Liposomal delivery is named as an open research gap, still unresolved.

The conclusion we draw from it is the one that shaped our formula. Delivery decides whether a copper peptide does anything at all, and how it is formulated matters more than the percentage printed on the label.

Your Questions

Answered

Does it actually work, and how fast? +

Glow comes first, firmness takes longer. Most people see fresher, plumper, calmer skin in the first week or two. The firmness change, meaning the jawline and neck, builds over 4 to 12 weeks of daily use. It is cumulative, not overnight, which is exactly why it is backed for 60 days.

Why is this more expensive than the copper peptide serum at the drugstore? +

Because the number on the front is not the whole story. Copper peptide only works if the copper stays bound to the peptide, and that depends on pH, the absence of chelating agents, how the peptide is delivered, and whether it survived manufacturing. Cheaper formulas often contain the ingredient and none of the conditions it needs. We publish all of it, including the certificate.

What does the percentage on your label actually mean? +

It means pure active copper peptide, stated in parts per million, verified by an independent lab. This matters more than it sounds. Many brands state a percentage of a pre diluted solution, which can be a hundred times weaker than the same number suggests. That is the single most confusing thing in this category and we would rather just show you the arithmetic.

Is this a Botox or filler alternative? +

No. It is a daily cream, not an injectable and not a procedure. Botox relaxes muscle. Filler adds volume. This supports the look of firmer skin by replenishing a signal your own skin makes. Different mechanism, different result, and it still looks like you.

Can I use it with retinol, vitamin C, or acids? +

Yes, with one rule: use them at different times of day, not layered in the same step. Strong vitamin C and direct acids sit at a low pH that breaks the copper peptide apart, and retinoids want conditions this formula does not share. Copper Theory in the morning and your active at night works perfectly.

I tried copper peptides before and nothing happened. Why would this be different? +

The three usual reasons a copper peptide does nothing: the concentration was far lower than the label implied, the formula contained a chelating agent that stripped the copper out, or it was layered with an acid that broke it apart. All three are invisible from the outside. We publish the concentration, the full ingredient list and the pH so you can rule out all three.

Will it stain my skin, my pillowcase, or turn anything green? +

No. Loose copper stains. Bound copper does not. In a properly formulated copper peptide the copper stays held by the peptide, which is also why the cream is blue rather than green. If a copper product ever turns yellow green, that is the copper coming loose, and it is a sign the formula has failed.

I've read about the copper peptide "uglies." Is that real? +

It is real, and it is worth understanding. It happens when copper peptide is used at far too high a concentration, or in a formula whose pH has drifted, so the copper separates and causes localised irritation. Skin can temporarily look drier or looser. The answer is not a bigger number on the label, it is correct formulation, which is why we hold our concentration in the researched range rather than chasing a headline figure.

Is it safe for sensitive skin, or skin already wrecked by retinol? +

Yes, and that is a large part of who this is for. It is fragrance free and does not exfoliate, sting or peel. If your barrier is worn down from actives, this is designed to be the step that does not add to the damage. Patch test first, as with anything new.

Will it break me out? +

Copper peptide itself is not comedogenic and is generally well tolerated. As with any new moisturizer, a small number of people react to something in any base. That is what the 60 days is for.

Does it work on the neck? +

Yes, and the neck is where we would tell you to concentrate. It ages faster than the face and almost everyone skips it. Apply it upward along the neck and jaw every time. It is the area most people notice first in photographs.

Can I use it around my eyes? +

You can use it on the orbital bone and the outer corners, where the skin is thinner and creases early. Keep it off the lash line and out of the eye itself. There is no need for a separate eye product.

What happens if I stop using it? +

Your skin returns to doing what it was doing before. This replenishes a signal that declines with age, so it works while you keep replenishing it. Nothing rebounds or gets worse, it simply stops progressing. Think of it the way you think of exercise rather than a one time procedure.

Is it safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding? +

There is no established safety data for topical copper peptide in pregnancy, so we will not tell you it is fine. Ask your doctor or midwife before using it. We would rather give you that answer than a comfortable one.

What's the guarantee? +

Use it morning and night for 60 days. If your skin disagrees, for any reason, write to us and we refund in full.

How do I place an order? +
